Nervous system

Nerves are stimulated and the activated nerves work in coordination. This strengthens the conscious mind and improves the balance of the para-sympathetic and sympathetic nervous system, resulting in harmony with the various endocrine glands.

Glandular system

There is a proper and balanced secretion in the endocrine glands, which bring in harmony and balance for proper functioning within the body.

Respiratory changes take place while performing Surya Namaskar due to which, the capacity of the lungs increases by utilizing the upper, middle and the lower lobes of the lungs fully.

Digestive system

The gastric fire or the agni gets vitalized aiding one’s appetite, digestion and purging of gases. The gastric fire is kindled by cleansing of waste from the digestive system and digestion, absorption and elimination come naturally into the body making the body totally healthy and fit for Life.

Excretory System

The postures of Surya Namaskar bring in a lot of pressure into the abdominal cavity thereby cleansing and eliminating all the waste from the colon.

Circulatory System
Blood congestion is removed and venous circulation gets better due to a better supply of oxygen and manipulated breathing methods. The arteries and veins become elastic because of the various stretches.

Muscular system

The forward backward stretches and bends work on all the muscles of the body thereby improving the tone giving flexibility, strength, and stamina.

Skeletal System

Joints get stretched and the circulation in between the joints improves and that in turn makes them healthier. The joints become flexible because of the manipulations. The quality and quantity of the synovial fluid increases and protects the cartilages, which in turn reduces the rate of bone degeneration.

Sit in padmaasana. Breathe in through both the nostrils and plug your ears with the index fingers and start buzzing your breath through the sound of mmmmmmmmmmmmm. All the while concentrate on the Bhrumadhyasthana (in between the eyebrows). Take your fingers off after complete exhalation, breathe in once again and follow up with the same breathing process. Do this breathing for about ten minutes daily.
